Dispute Stage
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to dispute any information on your credit report that is inaccurate, incomplete, or cannot be verified. We look for errors such as:
❌ Incorrect account balances
❌ Duplicate accounts
❌ Accounts that don’t belong to you
❌ Outdated negative items
We craft customized dispute letters addressing each negative item and send them directly to the credit bureaus. These letters request verification of the reported information. If the bureau cannot verify an item within 30 days, it must be corrected or removed.
Accountability
Once the credit bureaus receive a dispute, they must:
🔹 Contact the original creditor or data furnisher
🔹 Verify the accuracy of the reported item
🔹 Respond with the results within 30-45 days
Reviewing the Investigation Results
After the investigation, the credit bureaus will:
✅ Remove the item if it cannot be verified
✅ Update the item if corrections are needed
✅ Leave the item unchanged if verified as accurate
We review the results and determine if further action is needed. Some disputes may require additional follow-ups to ensure fair and accurate reporting.
Continuous Credit Building & Monitoring
While we challenge inaccurate items, we also guide you on positive credit-building strategies, such as:
🔹 Establishing new credit lines
🔹 Maintaining low credit utilization
🔹 Making on-time payments
